In 7.2.2 "The ILCA 6 Grand Master and ILCA 6 Great Grand Master age category will be split into 2 fleets
and will sail a Qualifying series followed by a Final series. See SI Addendum A. These fleets will
sail separately, each in their own starting group."
This is not reflected in the starting order at Alfa Racing course? Please clarify. |
This is corrected with SI Amendment 2. ILCA 6 Grand Master fleet will be split into 2 fleets, but not ILCA 6 Great Grand Masters fleet. ILCA 6 Great Grand Masters will sail as one fleet. |

The SIs say that "Check-out and Check-in shall be made via ROMS or at the Race Office." How is this done using ROMS? |
There will be an amendment posted that removes the Check-out and Check-in requirement. Peter van Muyden |

The outer course diagram shows mark 1a but does not list it as a required mark in the written listing of required marks. Is there a required rounding of 1a on the outer course, and if not, why is it shown on the diagram? |
The O2 course description doesn't show mark 1a as a mark of the course. Mark 1a is shown in the diagram because it might be in the water for the course I2 start. Peter van Muyden |

Can we please move the Course "Bravo" out of the constricted area close to land, and with a very large hill causing major wind shifts and unstable wind conditions? This is a World Championship and should be sailed in open water, not jammed into an area where major land features are having a huge impact on the sailing conditions. Both the "Alpha" and "Charlie" courses are in open water with no land masses impacting the breeze. I also would like to know why the decision was made to move our fleets from "Alpha" to "Bravo" this was not discussed with the competitors before the decision was made. No reason for this change was posted to my knowledge. Mike Schmidt, USA 121384. |
The course areas were assigned by the local marine authority. We were very fortunate that the marine authority allocated a last minute third racing area. The original application was for only two racing areas.
The swap between the Alpha and Bravo was to bring the Legends closer to the sailing site. Peter van Muyden
