This form should only be used to request review a possible scoring discrepancy. It should b used if you believe you are incorrect scored. It is not a Request for Redress. The Race Committee will review and respond to each request and return this form to the Race Office.

Possible improper configuration of the finishing line
Dear Race Committee / International Jury,
I respectfully request a review of the finishing line configuration in Race 3 of the Yellow Fleet.
According to SI 14.1, the finishing line is defined as:
“between a staff displaying a blue flag on the race committee finish and the course side of the other finishing mark.”
The Sailing Instructions do not specify which side the Race Committee vessel should be on, nor do they contain any provision authorizing the Race Committee to invert the relative positions of the finishing vessel and the finishing mark (pin) due to weather conditions or any other reason.
In Race 3 the finishing line appears to have been set with the Race Committee vessel and the finishing mark on opposite sides compared to previous races (and to the normal/expected configuration). This change was not previously announced and is not contemplated in the Sailing Instructions.
I believe this inversion may have caused confusion among the fleet regarding the correct side on which to finish and could have affected the fairness of the finishing order.
I kindly request that the Race Committee and/or International Jury review the configuration of the finishing line in Race 3 and consider whether any correction to the results or redress is appropriate.
